I have a wide range of experience that includes creative writing, product copywriting, marketing copy for loyalty emails, SMS, website, etc., and the occasional help concocting a risky text. All About Me
Who would’ve thought that the young girl who needed extra help with reading would develop a love for books and stories. It wasn’t until my senior year of high school, taking a creative writing class, that I discovered that I had a knack for the written word that went beyond just short stories. It felt intrinsic. I wrote and performed poetry and won a school-wide speech competition where I was chosen to give a speech at my graduation. I went on to pursue Creative Writing at Columbia College Chicago, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in in Creative Writing and a minor in Literature. During my time in Chicago, I had the chance to study under distinguished, working authors and the chosen opportunity to study abroad in Paris, France. I indulged in the culture and walked the same cobblestone streets that all the greats did. There, I was able to hone in on my craft and live through every cliché moment: wine stains on my journal and teeth.
In current years, I have worked as a product and marketing copywriter for a global powerhouse brand, crafting copy for product pages, loyalty e-mails, SMS & MMS sends, and brand campaigns. Brand voice & self-expression are #1 in my book, and I pride myself on my attention to detail and creativity.
If I’m not reading or writing, you can find me vacationing with my family in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, grabbing wings & beer with friends, hosting parties or singing with my acoustic duo act: Alicia and Ben.
